The Languages and Literature Department is a secondary education department that seeks to improve the language skills and abilities of Patricians students, faculty and staff through competent members. It also sees itself as the prime mover in the professional advancement of language and literature students in the National Capital Region (NCR) area. To fulfill its mission, the department is committed to fulfilling the following objectives:

• Provide quality instruction in english, literature, korean, and nihonggo to senior high school students of the academe to prepare them to become globally competitive;
• Sponsor conferences on recent issues and trends in language learning and journalism to broaden the knowledge of the members of the department, academic community and faculty of other language and literature departments in the region;
• Collaborate with other academic units or institutions in its research undertakings; and
• Help marginalized sectors of the society through the outreach programs of the by providing volunteer-faculty members in the area of language instruction.

The Language and Literature Department (LLD), under the Senior High School Department (SHSD) is managed by the LLD Adviser and supervised by Director for Academics, while the Foreign Languages Club (FLC) has been merged with the Languages and Literature Department starting SY 2021-2022.
